Community Guidelines

Policy Rationale

There may be situations not covered by the rules, times where the rule may not fit the situation or are grayzones within the community guidelines. If this is the case, Yui or the NepFam Security Advisory Board will examine the situation and decide on basis of the currently effective community guidelines.

Violations comitted before the 20.9.2025

Violation that has been committed before the 20.9.2025 are subject to review on basis of the version of the past effective community guidelines at the time where the violation occured.
Penalties will not be issued if:
  • The violation expired under Statute of limitations
  • The violation was not a violation before the 20.9.2025
  • The violation is not a violation anymore after the 20.9.2025

Statute of limitations

  • the limitation period for issuing penalties is 3 years, the period begins on the exact time where violation occured.
  • Violations that are threatened with a Permanent Ban are limited for 5 years
  • Violations that are threatened with a Community Ban are not limited.

Penalties

  1. An act can only be punished if the liability was determined the Community Guidelines before the act was committed.
  2. No one may be punished more than once for the same offense under the Community Guidelines.
  3. Punishments can be extended or edited as long the initial punishment has not expired
