Moderator Exclusion Clause

To uphold the principles of impartiality and prevent any potential conflicts of interest, the NFSA Board includes a strict moderator exclusion clause. Moderators, while integral to the community, are precluded from actively participating in committee actions related to disciplinary measures or issue resolution. This deliberate separation ensures an unbiased and fair decision-making process, reinforcing the committee's commitment to transparency and the equitable treatment of all community members. Moderators may, however, provide essential information or context when requested by the committee to aid in its deliberations. This exclusion underscores the importance of maintaining independence and objectivity in the pursuit of community harmony and conflict resolution.

Majority Decision Requirement:

In order to establish clear and decisive outcomes, The NFSA Board mandates that all decisions, including advisory recommendations, disciplinary sanctions, and issue resolutions, must be reached with a minimum 51% majority agreement among committee members. This democratic approach ensures that decisions reflect a prevailing consensus, fostering legitimacy and acceptance within the community. The requirement for a majority vote is designed to prevent undue influence from any single perspective and encourages robust discussions to achieve well-informed resolutions. The committee is dedicated to promoting a fair and inclusive decision-making process, and the 51% majority rule serves as a fundamental safeguard to maintain balance and objectivity in the pursuit of community welfare.

Reports:

Report of concerns regarding a Moderator can be submitted to the committee through the Chairperson.
