Moderation Guidelines

Authority

The purpose of moderators is to A) enforce the Community Guidelines in an polite yet strict way, and B) To encourage the users to engage in the chat.

Moderators are part of the Staff team "Epsilon-11" in the community that have the authority to issue moderation actions and penalties that:
  1. Ban
  2. Kick
  3. Timeout
  4. Restrict, or
  5. Give intructions to enforce the community guidelines

users.

Authority for Preemtive actions

1 Anyone whose behavior on the internet, or their general conduct,
  1. is likely to cause serious harm to the community as a whole, or
  2. harass a community member on a specific platform where NepCity is represented, or
  3. otherwise violate the rights, particularly the dignity, of another person,

may be preemtively banned in a separate procedure from a specific platform where NepCity is represented or from the community as a whole.
  •  In such cases, moderators must provide reasons for the ban in accordance with the system in place. Additionally, the sources justifying a preventive ban must be documented in the mod comments.
  • The Reason: "Account Integrity" must be used.
