Moderation Guidelines

Policy Rationale

A community ban is a last-resort measure taken to protect the integrity, safety, and well-being of the NepFam community. This action is reserved for severe or repeated violations of our community standards.

What happens when a community ban has been issued:

  • The affected account as well all other accounts that are owned/used or linked with the offending individual will be banned/blocked from all platforms where NepFam Community is present
  • The community ban will be publically announced

There might be situations where we wont make a public announcement if the penalty has been issued preemtively and/or the individual is not known among the community.

  1. Community bans are indefinite and do not expire. However, Community bans are subject for automatic review once every year.
  2. Community bans cannot be lifted by Moderators

How to appeal a Community Ban:

Next to an automatic review once every year, an community banned accound may appeal the decision.

An appeal needs to fullfill following criteria to be accepted for review:

  • Must include current and past account username(s)
  • Must include a well formulated reason/additional context why we should take another look and/or revoke the community ban
    •  "one sentence" or "single word" reasons are invalid and will be rejected.
  • Cannot have a rejected appeal that is younger than 356 days

An appeal has to be submitted to info@nepfam-studios.com with the subject: "Community ban appeal | <current username>" or in the discord server stated in your ban notification.

Who can issue a Community Ban?

  • YuiSupJ or the NepFam Safety Advisory Board (formerly known as CCRI)
